The motto of the Ministry of Care is “Touching Lives, Showing Love.” This motto exemplifies the life that Jesus lived while he was here on earth (Acts 10:38). The motto also implements the directives that Jesus left to his disciples (James 1:27) and guides the activities and focus of volunteers to the ministry.
In many parts of the developing world, widowhood is accompanied by much suffering. It is a sad but common fact that many women are physically and financially abandoned when they lose their husbands. They are often poor, sick, and unable to work or to care for their children. In addition to these suffering widows are the countless orphaned children and youth who lack the basic amenities of life and are in dire need of help and guidance. Ministry of Care has a mandate to reach such populations – to relieve their suffering and bring hope into their lives through a practical demonstration of the love of God.
Ministry of Care is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit Christian charitable organization established in 2001. Our heart’s desire is to spread the love of Jesus Christ through the avenues of widow assistance, orphan sponsorship, and medical missions. We are dedicated to restoring a sense of hope and dignity to the people and communities we serve. Since our inception we have ministered to over 10,000 orphans, widows, and youth in Uganda, Haiti, Cameroon, Kenya, Nigeria, Togo, and the United States.
Our team consists of a network of doctors, nurses, nurse practitioners, professionals, and patrons who see the world through the eyes of Jesus Christ and are committed to impacting lives of the less fortunate in positive ways. Our philosophy is founded on the scripture:
“And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me.” Mathew 25:40
We invite you to join us as we serve the Lord by helping our neighbors and lifting up the heads of those who are cast down and down-trodden.
